The deposit amount is agreed and written into the lease, then recorded and tracked in Haven from day one, with your move-in condition evidence attached. The landlord holds the deposit; at move-out it is settled against that record, not from memory, and any dispute on a registered Maltese lease goes to the Adjudicating Panel, which decides in days. The amount, the evidence, and the outcome all live on the record.

No. Haven is software, not an agency: it never acts for either side, never negotiates, and never introduces or selects a tenant for you. Money flows from tenant to Stripe to owner, automatically. There is no agency commission in between.
